Kyle Richardsdidn’t want her daughter to be born on Leap Day.
During anAmazon Liveon Thursday, theReal Housewives of Beverly Hillsstar, 55, mentioned her daughter Portia’s 16th birthday was coming up and reflected on how she almost gave birth to her on Leap Day.
“Tomorrow you guys is Portia’s 16th birthday,” Richards says. “Oh my gosh, I cannot believe she’s 16.”
“And today’s Leap Year, and I went into labor on Leap Year. It was a Leap Year when I went into labor with her and I was like, please. I don’t want her to be born on Leap Year. I really don’t,” the mom of four admits.
“So I literally held it together until after midnight because I was like, please no. Because it’s just hard. In one way, it’s cool because it would be a special birthday but in another way it’s like, then you have to pick when is my actual birthday?”

Richards is mom to daughter Farrah, 35, whom she shares with exGuraish Aldjufrie. She is also mom to daughters Alexia, 27, Sophia, 24, and Portia, whom she shares with estranged husband Mauricio Umansky.
Earlier this month, Richardsappeared on an episode ofWatch What Happens Liveand told hostAndy Cohen, 55, that she wasn’t able to watch the finale ofReal Housewives of Beverly Hillswith her family until Wednesday night, just before the show’s taping. “I couldn’t get myself to watch. I saw it in the [WWHL] dressing room,” Richards said.
“It’s hard to watch. I really don’t need to see it, because I already lived it. And just to relive it is difficult,” she admitted, but said ultimately “we pulled it together.”
On the season finale of the show, Richards and Umansky wereseen grappling with the impact of their separationgoing public after27 years of marriage.
“Things have been a lot more uncomfortable with me and Mo ever since the article came out, I think because it made it just so much more real,” she shared. “I feel like my kids have basically lived a fairy tale but then, I felt like the article coming out, they thought that the rug had been pulled out from underneath of them because things are worse than we led on to be.”
She added, “I just wanted to make sure that we were open and that you guys knew what we were going through and see if there’s any questions. I do want you guys to know thatwe haven’t talked about a divorce."
