Kelsea Ballerinistepped out of Barbieland and into New York City Wednesday night as a host for the The Original Donut Shop’s Halloween Party.

To commit to the outfit even further, Ballerini wore what appeared to be a long blonde wig curled into voluminous waves under a white cowboy hat. She topped the look with peachy-pink makeup.
Ballerini loves to dip into the pop culture archives for her Halloween costumes. In 2020, she dressed up asLegally Blonde’s Elle Woods, bending and snapping in apink plaid blazer dress and white high heels. She received the highest of compliments whenReese Witherspoonpraised her efforts, writing, “Works every time honey!!” on X, formerly known as Twitter.

At the event, held at Beauty & Essex, Ballerini spoke with PEOPLE about her relationship with the actor, 31, noting that she “immediately felt safe with him from the second that he hopped out of the Bronco.”

She also opened up about stepping into the “new chapter” in her life that is her 30s, noting, “I just feel like I’m a woman now and just discovering what that feels like and writing about that with a level of specificity, has been a really fun thing to start dabbling into."
As she’s gotten older, she’s learned to appreciate all the good things flowing into her life as they happen. “I’ve had to really challenge myself to enjoy it and not just wonder what’s next. I’m really glad that it’s happening in the season of my life where I feel the most cracked open and soft.”
