The nursery walls are painted a light blue and adorned with posters of the alphabet and different animals. Palmer chose a bright yellow shade for the door, accentuating the yellow in the sun-inspired rug.

The dark stain of the wood of the crib matches the side table beside a comfy white reading chair, which sits next to the crib. The room also includes a wooden bookshelf with painted animals surrounding the space. A stuffed giraffe completes the little reading nook.

This Halloween, the proud mom celebrated with her son,dressing him up as scientist Henry Frankenstein while she went as the bride of Frankensteinfrom the 1935 sci-fi horror film,Bride of Frankenstein.

The new mother wrote in the caption, “He gave me LIFE,” referencing their characters' roles in the classic monster movie, as the scientist creating a mate for the monster.

Back in March, the Emmy winner called being a mom her “greatest gig of all." In her Instagram post, the proud mother could be seen gazing and smiling at her son in a stroller against the New York City skyline.

“Mommy’ing is coming along if you were looking for an update. I have juggled quite a few careers but this is my greatest gig of all,” the singercaptioned her post. “Learning how to balance it all and looking forward to discovering this new person I am becoming. I will never be the same again, but if you thought I was a bad mama jamma before, you can’t imagine the greater purpose my son has given my life!”

In September, Palmerspoke to PEOPLE about being a single mom. Asked what advice she’d give to other single moms, the star said, “Man, continue to fill your cup and do the things that makeyouhappy. I think that’s the main thing because that’s going to propel you to give the energy that you need to do all that it takes to be the mother to that child.”

“Pour into yourself, have fun,” she said. “We’ve got to be able to do what we need to do so we can show up in good spirits for the child.”
