Bob Sagetstill holds a special place inKat Dennings' heart.
In 2001, Saget and Dennings starred onRaising Dad, as father and daughter Matt and Sarah Stewart. Although the sitcom ran for just one season, Saget took his role as her protector and father figure seriously both on and off set.

“God bless him. I’m so sad that he’s gone,” she says with a sigh, adding that theFull Housealum had been “lovely” to work with.
“What I remember was he was very protective of me because I was a young actress and he had daughters. So he was very sweet to me and very protective and very kind,” she recalls. “I only remember very, very nice memories of him.”
On Jan. 9, 2022, Saget wasfound deadat the age of 65 in his hotel room at The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes in Florida. His cause of death was later revealed as blunt head trauma following an unwitnessed fall.

He and his first wife, Sherri Kramer, welcomed three daughters — Aubrey, Lara and Jennifer — before they split in 1997. In 2015, Saget metKelly Rizzo, and theymarried three years later.
Earlier this month, Rizzo marked the three-year anniversary of Saget’s death and reflected on the day that changed her life forever in an emotional post shared to Instagram.
Alongside a video montage of her favorite moments with Saget, theComfort Foodpodcaster, 45, paid tribute to her late husband in a lengthy caption.

Rizzo added it’s been “truly miraculous” to know that the public’s love for Saget “has not diminished” over the years.
