But now thatWorthyis here, how does her family feel about it?
“What I did was tell them what’s in the book, what stories I was going to tell about them specifically, and [ask] if they were okay with that,” Pinkett Smith shared.
She andThe Fresh Prince of Bel-Airalum, 55, share two children,Willow Smith, 22,Jaden Smith, 25. Will also shares son Trey Smith, 30, with ex-wife Sheree Zampino.

“Willow has read [it], she’s an avid reader, and she’s the next author in the family,” Pinkett Smith said while teasing that the “Memories” singer has a fictional book of her own coming out in May 2024.
TheGirls Tripactress added that her daughter “loved” the memoir “before it was even edited.”

“She couldn’t wait, she’s like, ‘Mom, I’m taking this copy. I got to finish my read.’ She was super excited about it. But the boys [Jaden and Trey], I just told them what was in it. They’ll read it eventually,” Pinkett Smith continued.

“I think just not being ready yet, still trying to figure out between the two of us how to be in a partnership and in regards to how do we present that to people. And we hadn’t figure that out,” she admitted.
While Willow couldn’t get enough of her mother’s memoir, Will revealed he was “all over the place” after reading his wife’s inner-most thoughts about her life and their family dynamic.

Pinkett Smith also recently discussed her decades-long relationship with Will to PEOPLE.
“We’re still figuring it out. Relationships, it’s an organism — constantly shifting and constantly moving. We’ve been doing some really heavy-duty work together. We just got deep love for each other, and we are going to figure out what that looks like for us. A lot happened over the last two years,” she said after referencing the infamousOscars slap.
