HBO has hired the Last Resort producer , and carbon monoxide - writer of the Oblivion hand , Karl Gajdusek , to spearhead its newfangled foreign series . Deadlinedescribes The Spark as :

It focus on on the human reaction to a closed book still spiritually and technologically out of reaching and follows a female agonist as she figure out on the cusp of the Earth ’s effort to name the stemma of the signal . ”
Gajdusek will write and executive give rise the show , which we ’re really pretty excited about . Even though Last Resort could n’t encounter its audience , the penning was apt . And finger crossed this future public is as sleek search as Oblivion , but without the boredom .
Deadline append that HBO is assay to hit all the “ pillars ” of foreign storytelling , including “ Alien Contact , Artificial Intelligence , Technological breakthroughs , Space Exploration / Adventure , and Origin Stories . ” Which is just a tinker’s damn payload of tropes . possibly just focus on one and make it great , for now . Either way this start the door wide open for alien sexuality scenes . What ? It ’s HBO !
