Police in Dallas , TX are kick back themselves in the ass after the GPS functionality of a “ come-on railcar ” has failed and their cod criminal has gotten forth , scott - free , with a new car . Bait cars are cars prepped for the role of being stolen . They have GPS tracking , cameras and other remote sensors . Once a stealer takes the cable car , the police just use the GPS to track down the criminal and make an arrest .
In this case it is a bit of a problem , because the GPS functionality on the lure cable car failed entirely . So the Dallas PD basically gave a railway car away to a criminal . for sure , the thief could have disabled the Global Positioning System somehow , but I reckon I ’ll call it a exploiter - error .
