When are three shots from a single pic more exciting than a whole laggard ? When those three shots are fromGeorge Miller ’s Furiosa , of course . That film was one of several pester in a sizzle reel at the Warner Bros. control board during CinemaCon , which also included prolonged looks at Wonka , Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom , The Meg 2 : The Trench , Joker : Folie à Deux , Blue Beetle , The Nun 2 , and more .

Furiosa
George Miller ’s Mad Max : Fury Road prequel Furiosa wo n’t be out until May 24 , 2024 , but three shots from the movie screen as part of a sizzle reel for the company . Again , it was a unretentive glance , but it was proof the motion picture was coming , which is exciting .
Joker: Folie à Deux
Also not coming until later 2024 , the subsequence to the Oscar - winning 2019 hit only had one shot that we can recall ; it showed Arthur ( Joaquin Phoenix ) wiping the lily-white paint on his cheek . Two 2024 motion picture with face paint , who love ?

Willy and his admirer float with balloons like Up . We see his mom , play by Sally Hawkins , tell him in the past to never give up his dream . To which Willy whispers , “ Here we go , mama . ” The text edition on the screen says “ How Willy became … ” and then the claim visiting card : Wonka .
But that ’s not the end . Willy had a small mortal with orange skin and unripened pilus in a Methedrine container . This person , who has the face of Hugh Grant , enounce they ’re an Oompa - Loompa and they ’re about to perform the most magical vocal ever . Willy says he ’d rather not but the Oompa - Loompa read “ Too tardily , I already started . ”
Wonka count weird , to be sure , but also kind of affirmative and wondrous . We ’re hop it ’s exactly that .
The Meg 2: The Trench
Directed by Ben Wheatley , Meg 2 : The Trench opens in August so we were hoping the trailer that screened would be free online . Alas , it has not yet . But it starts with a conniption talking about the metal money that rule the Earth 65 million years ago . We see a T - Rex kill some smaller animals , before a massive megalodon start out of the weewee and use up the T - Rex .
After that , we see the main tarradiddle itself , in which Jason Statham ’s theatrical role and his squad notice a new ecosystem under the surface . So they put on some high - tech gear and go to investigate . Down there , a member of the team gets eaten by a very toothy creature when they discover the big megalodon ever . The apex marauder .
Shots then change to the surface where three sharks terrorise a vacation resort . One wholly destroy a wharfage that people are walking on . A monolithic devilfish starts grabbing at citizenry . The glass in the underground lair that was so good in the last photographic film , smashes this time at the force of the new Meg . finally , we see Statham on a jet plane ski strain to use a spear to kill the Meg . When the Meg swims , it makes a wave , and so Statham , on a jet ski , rides the wave going after the Meg .
Meg 2 : The Trench looks totally genial and we can not look .
The Nun 2
I ’ve never seen the first Nun so I could n’t really tell what , exactly , was happening in the extended trailer for the new film , but it looked scary as sin .
It pop out with a group of young girl who flim-flam one of their own to stare at a creepy stain glass windowpane with the reverence that , if she look off , the Lucifer will come to get her . finally , something move behind her so she looks off , and as she tries to scarper , something attacks her .
We learn that the Nun from the first picture show is back and the laggard teases “ the true statement behind the greatest wickedness in the Conjuring universe . ” Taissa Farmiga reprises her role from the first film but is now joined by Storm Reid . And while they ’re in a lot of scenery , the poke ’s last view is those young girls again . They hear something upstairs and go to investigate . There , they find an old woman star at the wall . They ’re panic-struck and hide in a outlet , when a couplet of bridge player pop into the venthole to grab them . The celluloid opens September 8 .
Blue Beetle
The Blue Beetle section of the jury was mostly an extended interpretation of the trailerthat ’s now uncommitted online . The biggest new additions were a view of one of Jaime ’s sis using Blue Beetle tech as a shield to stop a bunch of men from shoot her . Jaime sees this and targets the men , and beat them up in a hall fight scene like in Oldboy or Daredevil .
The other big add-on is Jaime ’s grandma holding a massive high - tech artillery , and kindle it like Arnold Schwarzenegger with the gatling gun in Terminator 2 . Fun stuff and nonsense . The film opens in August .
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom
This one opens December 20 . The late look at Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom began with Arthur Curry ( Jason Momoa ) tattle to his dada ( Temeura Morrison ) about how hard it is to call down a child . Dad say that ’s nothing compared to his main job , which is to harness Atlantis , and we see shots of Aquaman fighting one massive ship and battling another by grabbing its keystone and bringing it down to the ocean .
Something is destroy the surface world and Arthur need supporter . The Black Manta is trying to unlock an ancient evil and there ’s only one somebody who can help : Orm ( Patrick Wilson ) , Arthur ’s brother , who has been imprisoned . Orm says that this change nothing — there ’s apparently pot of tension there — but ends up joining the scrap .
Turns out Manta has a black trident that has pregnant powers and he wants to kill Aquaman . This is cut down with footage of the pharos menage of his parents cut . A late scene shows Orm and Arthur in a jungle with a Brobdingnagian spread they ca n’t cross . Orm says that leadership make bridges , so Arthur jump into a gravid statue , which falls across the spread , making a real bridge .
In the hobo camp they see a vast vent with green sess coming out of the top . Under the water , a huge larger-than-life struggle take piazza which includes all personal manner of creatures and ship , including one piloted by Nicole Kidman . Arthur ’s married woman Hera , played by Amber Heard , is in a few shots . Arthur and Orm fight some kind of massive robot spider and Arthur saves his sidekick by moving some of its mechanical legs . finally , Arthur is told as the King of Atlantis , if he asks for help it will arrive , and the last shots are all of all way of brute and sea life sentence , including whales , coming to his tending .
Think the first Aquaman , but just with more animal , effects , and place setting . That ’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom .
