But in his excursion through the multiverse , Strange manage to create a raw enemy — one that might screen him to his limits . Or at least call for for $ 5 .
Yes , it ’s Pizza Poppa , play by Strange director Sam Raimi ’s friend and preferent punching bagBruce Campbell . If you do n’t recall the scene , as Strange andAmerica Chavez(Xochitl Gomez ) locomote through Earth-838 , America grabs a slice of pie from a rack and is accost by its proprietor , Pizza Poppa , for not paying . It ’s a legitimate charge , candidly , as is Poppa ’s hint that this person walking around in Doctor Strange ’s cloak — it being a world where Strange has died — must have slip it from a museum . When the MCU ’s Strange tells Pizza Poppa to back off , the Poppa gets quick to squeeze out mustard on what he believe is an impostor and a thief , only for Strange to magically do Poppa to squeeze out the mustard greens in his own face and then begin punch himself in the side … for three calendar week .
It ’s a foreign scene ( no pun specify , believe it or not ) , since the Sorceror Supreme could have easy produce some money with magic or ensorcelled the Pizza Poppa to believe he had been paid . It intelligibly only exists so that Raimi can torment Campbell for the umpteenth time in one of his films . That is , unless this unfold translation of the movie ’s post - credits scene , when Pizza Poppa finally lay off hitting himself , hold the samara to the future tense of the MCU :
