Two Kirks seem to be keeping the Enterprise dock for a bit . Both Chris Pine and Chris Hemsworth have reportedly stopped declaration talks to come along in Star Trek 4 .
The Hollywood Reporterhad the easy lay . The report card put forward that the actors , who act James and George Kirk respectively , “ importune they have deals in blank space and that the studio are reneging on them , forcing them to take pay cuts as they prove to budget a film that is follow a mediocre performer . ” However , deals with other thespian like Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto are expected to close ; the film is still “ a precedence development ” and is n’t being put on cargo area .
So what does that all think ? Well , whena fourth Trek film was announced in 2016 , Pine , at least , had atentative deal in place . However , since then , Paramount changed some of its executive leadership . Those execs are now saying , in luminousness of the tepid carrying into action of Star Trek Beyond , they need to dial back the budget on this film and would wish to pay off the actor less than they were initially promised or normally get . We tend to conceive it ’ll be the latter . Often , stopping contract negotiations and leaking info to the pressure about it is just a negotiation maneuver .
