Twitter usersmade it reasonably clearlast workweek . A puffy red nerve is n’t always the sound way to favorite / like / star / bookmarker / acknowledge tweets . Maybe Twitter is listening : It is reportedly testing the ability to select different emoji .
The Verge reportsthat some user like @_Ninjihave accessed a developer edition of the Twitter app where there are three sieve of emoji options in addition to the heart itself . So yes , you might be able to “ sob expression ” instead of “ loving ” something you really did n’t like that much . The screenshots posted do n’t seem to show how the emojis are displayed , though .
I ca n’t believe they ’re finally letting me 💯 tweets(The best part is that it ’s not even a jest , I just found this … )pic.twitter.com / cyJ6Lmfhgx

I love how the bare Twitter emoji favourites feature lets you 💩 tweets . Bet I ’m gon na get a wad of thosepic.twitter.com/EimC2komja
If this is for material , this fundamental interaction would make Twitter ’s favoriting system similar to the waySlack allows any emoji to be append as a reaction , although there does n’t seem to be a way to add more than one response emoji yet . Twitter has not react to extra questions about the heart or bring back the star but they did station this scuttlebutt to Verge author Casey Newton :
