It’s not a dress, not yet a romper. Britney Spears chose an outfit for Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards that defied all categorization for her walk down the red carpet.

To complement the over-the-top ensemble, Brit went for voluminous wavy blonde tresses, a super-dark smoky eye and pale, pale pink lip. Jewelry (a pair of dangling Jacob & Co. earrings) and other adornments were kept to a minimum.

Spears’ skin-baring wardrobe parade only continued from there, though. The star opened the show in a red ringmaster’s outfit that opened to reveal a bejeweled red bikini with built-in halter neckline, matching boots and a fur shrug to finish the performance. She then did a quick-change into a sparkling teal halter outfit with a crop top that highlighted her toned abs and sheer panels that highlighted, well, everything else. And to change things up a bit, she tied her long blonde hair into a pony with face-framing pieces that’s totally vintage Brit.
Britney is no stranger to a showstopping outfit whether on the red carpet ortaking the stage in Las Vegas— but these looks are a major change from last year’smuch more demure golden full-length gown. They’re even less material than her sexy look from her Pretty Girls performance last year. And it’s further proof that she’s feeling hotter than ever, asher recent string of sexy, strappy neon bikinis can attest.
