I do n’t know what kind of flower this is , but I love the gullible , yellow , and white together . A bright precede twinkle made the gaining control potential at a small aperture . Workflow : Take 8 picture each focused bit by bit from back to front . Convert from RAW to TIFF in Lightroom . merge into a exposure heap in Photoshop . Save flattened single image as a TIFF . Make a few tweaks in Lightroom and export as JPG . All image were exact at 1/50s , f/22 , and around ISO 1250 . I used a Canon 7D and a 100 mm macro lense .

This one ’s a 2fer . I wanted to be unlike from all the other stamen barb . I placed the Iris behind a sword of grass with a water drop on it . A near up photograph of the tip of the hibiscus flower . The deep vibrant red is one of the uncommon kinds of hibiscus from the usual I see . Its a showery season out here hence the tremendous drops cling around . Used my Nikon D7000 with 60 mm f/2.8D Nikkor Micro lens . To get a better particularisation had to scale down the aperture to f29 and shutter speed to 30 seconds at ISO 200 . Photographed from Valapattanam , Kerala , India .

Trapped
I ’ve been look at the Gizmodo photo challenges for ages & have never entered before . When I saw this week ’s challenge I immediately knew what I want to photograph . Last summer I uprise an allergy to the natural insect spray we apply at home so this summer , instead of putting up with an itchy lady friend , my swain bought a Venus Fly Trap . I was quite skeptical at first ( I intend , number on ! How is this works going to work as well as a spray ? ) . But when I did get a chance to see it in action it was impressive ! The folio closed so fast the poor tent flap did n’t stand a prospect . I could try it buzzing away in there & felt an impulse to liberate it from its doom . He ’s been take very skilful care of it & it has been boom ! He ’s very proud of it since his only previous plant success has been a cactus . It ’s only a little works but has been earning its keep as there are presently 4 fly catch in it . Now the boyfriend wants to get a Pitcher plant . Hell no ! One carnivorous plant is enough ! Taken with a Canon EOS 600D , Sigma 50 mm 1:2.8 DG Macro lens system , F/4 , ISO-400 .

saw the latest challenge so get out into my garden and take a picture of the most interesting plants . I have no idea what this industrial plant is so do n’t ask . I chose this one because I liked the color , the twist of the plants and the fact that , if you depend nearly , you could see little black aphids in the tendrils of the flower . Lumix G10 14 - 42 / f3.5 - 5.6 + Raynox clipping on macro lens . 1/400 exposure iso 100

While I photographed the flowers in my garden I noticed that shooting the yellow heyday of the pumpkin from the top at a unaired orbit will result in a beautiful persona that resembles an eye more than a flora . I use my Nikon D80 , AF - S Nikkor 18 - 55 mm , F 5.6 , shutter 1/30 and ISO 100 .

Nikon D7000 , Sigma 105 mm macro lens ( borrowed ) , 0.008 sec ( 1/125 ) exposure , f/3.5 , ISO 320 My wife and I headed to the National Arboretum in Washington , DC and chased bugs and flowers around until the cloud open up on us . I could n’t discover too many nice flowers in bloom , except for a few lilies in one section . I like how this one looks like levitating fuzzy bananas 🙂

Too bad this contest was n’t to begin with in the summer , as I had some really dainty macro shots of plant in my backyard pool . I lead out today and took this one , and it turned out ok . It was taken of a weewee lily , the only think still bloom , with my iPhone5 with the Olloclip macro lens . I bumped the saturation a spot in Snapseed on my phone , then changed the size in Aperture .

I ’ve always be fascinated by the geometric perfection of sunflowers , like the seeds ’ disposition that follows the Fibonacci ’s number . It ’s amazing ! So this spring i decided to constitute some of them , i raise them from seeds to fully grown in this calendar month , and the Clarence Shepard Day Jr. before your challenge was annouced , they bloomed . I take this flower because it has n’t the stunning sweetheart of a blush wine or a orchidaceous plant , but it show us that math is genuinely the language in which Nature utter . Equipment : Canon 60D , Tamron AF 90 millimeter f/2.8 SP Di macro , tripod . Shoot : The paradigm is a pot of 7 photograph , dart with unlike focal point , all at f/5,6 iso100 , two at 1/80s and 5 at 1/60s .
