The 2010 Olympics in Vancouver will ask a pot of transportation , so the B.C. government is assembling the largest collection of hydrogen fuel - cell jitney on the planet .
Twenty H charabanc will be in Whistler for coastal transport during the Olympic Games . Each bus cost about $ 2.1 million , or four times the monetary value of the diesel mixed bag . But they are zero emissions vehicles , providing 37 seats and a 60 - somebody standing mental ability . Plus , they can reach respectable speeds of up to 90km / 60 minutes . ( That picture above should be interchangeable to the setup the buses will have . )
The government only has the labor fund through 2014 , so hopefully we have H engineering more grouped ( aka sleazy ) by that time . [ Vancouver Sunviatreeugger ]
