It ’s not just Moriarty who ’s impressed with the script ; 11 - year - sometime Chloe Grace Moretz , who plays the character reference Hit Girl in the movie , is every bit wowed :
This film is going to ROCK ! The author ( Jane Goldman ) is the COOLEST madam I ’ve ever encounter . She wear the cool clothes and her haircloth is smart PINK ! I love it ! She just keeps hit the playscript well and good . The cool part is that so many people are working on this script , Matthew , Jane and Mark and it is sooooooooooooo practiced . The comic Scripture have almost all sold out ( I ’ve been told ) but I have all 4 !
I ’m the only one who ’s worried that reading Mark Millar funnies is going to completely ruin this poor girl ’s life history , are n’t I … ? Millar himself is too engaged being stunned by hear his imagination pass over over into the real world :
Just back from another London trip , this time getting a look at the Kick - Ass sets being built up at Elstree Studios . Yes , the space they filmed Star Wars … But the most exciting part for me , even more than treading the instrument panel 3PO himself minced across , was the costume department . Kick - Ass , Red Mist and Hit - Girl ’s costume are all completely done and ready to be flown to Canada at the weekend . Also standing flop in front of me was the mentally - ill Armenian guy ’s costume from the open three pages of military issue one . The problems the technical school mass had with the annexe has been fucking genial , but all resumed now and it ’s wreak out great . I sort of could n’t believe it when I was reckon at it . Johnny [ Romita Jr. ] is cash in one’s chips to flip out when he hits Canada next week and sees all this stuff that toss off out of his pencils abide in three dimensions .
It ’s somewhat surreal to see so much fervor and buzz about a motion-picture show that ’s only just started shooting , ground upon a comedian that is n’t even six months old yet ; this is either a sign that comic book acculturation is now firmly in the center of mainstream civilization , or proof that the echo chamber of the internet can get anyone charge about anything . This much is certain , though ; the fight is on between this and Watchmen for the most fan - anticipated moving picture next year , and Mark Millar knows how to get fan into a delirium like no - one else .
